Poor Little SnowJeau!
Jeau has that fuzzy, poseable hair…all over! We call him Teddy Bear.
That fuzz does some fantastic things with fresh snow. The temp has to be in the mid-20’s to low 30’s for the phenomena that is my walking snowball - Jeauball.
Poor little man was out in the snow a few weeks ago. I had tossed a snowball for him to chase and look for (serious! and, he BRINGS ME BACK MY SNOWBALL intact. He finds a snowball in the snow and brings it to me) Anyway, the snow was deep and the temp was considered warm for the little teddy. He spent a good half hour out there. I decided to call him in. I was still worried that he was cold. He slowly started plowing towards the house. He ALWAYS drags his feet when he doesnt want to come in. I had to keep calling him to keep him moving. I finally went out for the last time and saw him struggling down the sidewalk. The poor guy looked like Ben from the Fantastic Four (the rock guy) His snowballs were epic. He had at least five pounds of snowballs on him. Some were almost as big as baseballs. I dont know how he was walking! They were packed tight under his armpits.
My snowy, balled up little snow dog - Jeau

By the way, I de-snowed a Jeau for almost half an hour. Usually, Little Thing eats all the snow, but, this was just too much! I made a giant snowball and put it in the freezer to show Bob. I finally had to turn on the warm water and give him a bath to get rid of the balance of it.
This may be one of the funniest things that I have ever seen. What a sweet little guy.

That is hysterical. My boys will NOT go out if it RAINS.. No wet feet for them. I swear they will cross their back legs to prevent peeing in the house and try and hold it forever. When it finally gets to be to much, they tip toe just far enough out the door to SQUAT, then hurry back in like it’s a terrible thing.

I know what you mean with the attached snow balls. My toy poodles suffered from this very problem EVERY time they went outside in the snow. There is something about their wool that the snow clung to.
Episodes like this will remain in your memory years to come. Thank Jeau for the memory!!!!

LOVE IT!!!!! Looks JUST like our Jasmine. She loves to chase snowballs too but she jumps and crushes them in mid-air. Thanks for posting!!

Does it take you guys FOREVER to de-snow them?
And, Shelley, PUH-LEASE!! Phoenix and rain would be a cakewalker! Just bring one of those wieners up here and let’s toss them out in the snow. I’ll have my camera ready
I cant wait to come to PHX in May!
Madigan’s Mom…you gotta pack those snowballs until they dont break when caught! Jeau will do the same thing if my snowballs are lame and poorly packed, but, I have usually packed it hard enough that it remains a ‘ball’ until he decides to chomp it apart. Not packing them tight just means he is going to stand there and yell at me to scoop up some more toy material and pack him another ball…and throw it.
